Barcode labels have two methods of data encoding

Barcode labels are a way of tagging with encoded data. The main purpose of bar code labels is to spot and list inventory items for business purposes. They are incredibly useful in stock management systems.

Barcode labels are available with different adhesive backings and can be customised to that they are appropriately shaped and sized for the items you need to tag. These tags can be made of paper, plastic, vinyl or even metal depending on where they will be used.

Methods of data encoding on tags:

There are two methods in which numerical data encoding takes place in tags.

Line bars

This method sees a number of vertical lines of varying thicknesses used for encoding. The recorded data on the tag is encoded by varying the spaces, thickness between the lines along and the numbers in the code.

2-dimensional

2-dimension patterning is based on dots of different thicknesses. These dots are placed on square or rectangular frames.

It is impossible for the naked human eye to decode the data on these barcodes. This can only be done by using special software and exclusive printers are designed to print the labels. Make use of these technological innovations as per your requirement and needs.
